See Some More Services WHAT ELSE DO WE PROVIDE? Behavioral Health & Substance Use Disorders Services We provide support, trainings, and specialized services for the the development of Maine behavioral health professionals in the fields of prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery. We serve as one of three Maine Behavioral Health Workforce Development Collaborative (MBHWDC) partners. Prevention Training/Technical Assistance Services We provide program support, trainings, and technical assistance for the prevention workforce in Maine, and in New England, serving as the New England Prevention Technology Transfer Center (New England PTTC). Problem Gambling Services We coordinate services including training and development, in addition to managing the network of non­-casino self­-exclusion sites and administrative oversight of the Gambling Addiction Treatment Network of providers. Public Health and Health Care Emergency Preparedness Services We provide program development support for multiple public health and health care emergency preparedness services in Maine. The Institute accomplishes its mission through the development and implementation of high quality, yet affordable training programs and educational events. Activities are offered to individuals and organizations who directly or indirectly encounter problems associated with substance use disorders, mental health or are affected by other public health issues. From a humble beginning, the agency has grown significantly and currently has offices in Worcester, Massachusetts and Augusta, Maine. The New England branch is co-located in the Augusta office.
